System Requirements

The minimum recommended system requirements for running Edgar are:

• Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 2.0 GHz
• 512 MB RAM
• Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP Pro

A video display with a minimum resolution of 1280×1024 is recommended.

Note that Edgar has a problem with some versions of the ATI Radeon graphics board drivers. This may be a problem with other boards as well. With the problem graphics board, Edgar appears to not run at all, but does manage to generate a log file. The fix is to get an updated driver from the ATI web site (NOT the Microsoft web site). If this problem ever shows up and you do not have access to new drivers, a workaround is to disable hardware acceleration in the video control panel.
